The partnership<\/h2>\n\n

The partners will involve stakeholders in the value chain (textile and plastics industries, collectors and polyester users) in order to develop the technical and operational conditions for scaling up this recovery method to industrial level.<\/p>\n\n\n

RE-APS project<\/h2>\n\n\n

The Interreg RE-APS project is part of a cross-border initiative aimed at maximising synergies between the skills and resources of Belgian and French partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several strategic objectives of the project:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Develop circular value chains from post-consumer and post-production polyester textiles, using thermomechanical recycling to transform this waste into granules that can be reused in the textile and plastics industries. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Develop prototypes and Proof of Concept (POC) models that can be transferred to industry by validating processes on a pilot scale.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Responding to environmental challenges by anticipating legislation on polyester waste, reducing dependence on plastic bottle recycling, and exploiting underutilised polyester resources.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
